dAnother service that we offer to any interested client, is the actual designing of your fence. When most people think of fencing, they tend to think about vertical slats, connected together by a cross beam. But, this doesn’t always have to be the case. Your fence can be different than that, if that’s what you want. While fences are built to function, they can also be built to be beautiful. Since your fence will always be seen, it makes sense that you’d want it to look as good as it can.
The first step in the design phase is to sit down with us and have a consultation. At these mini meetings, we go over how big your fencing needs are, what your ideal material is, what the purpose of the fencing is and if there are any specific ideas you have about what you’d like your new fence to look like. Based on all of these topics, we can begin to suggest certain elements of your fencing system. When we come up with some basics of the fence, we can move in to the actual design phase.
Once we have the basics of what you need and want out of your fencing system, we can get to work on designing what that fencing system will actually look like. We will design something with color, architectural feature and elegance, basting all of our decisions on what you told us you desired to have. We will then present that design to you and, if you approve of it, we will work on estimate for you. Once the estimate is also approves, we can move on to the actual installation. We are always here to help.
When it comes to fence design there are two basic styles, with several sub styles derived from them. They first big choice to make is if you want your fence horizontally built or vertically or if you want a thatch design, combining the two. Once this choice is made, we can design several different options within those choices. Horizontal fencing has a naturally more modern feel to it, while vertical fencing has that classic “white picket fence” feel to it. Depending on the look you’re going for, we can even combine the two, or skew them a bit for a diagonal pattern.
Custom fencing is another option we offer. When we present custom fencing, it is usually for iron fencing. Because iron can be bent and shaped and welded, it lends itself to some pretty amazing design elements. These custom metal fences can really make your property look unique and are a great way to combine form and function. But metal isn’t the only custom fencing option that there is. We can also combine elements in both wood and vinyl fencing to come up with any design you may want. We have looks to show or can help you design your very own.
